How ludicrous that in this country at this present time we must take legal action to prevent our children from being indoctrinated in supposedly secular schools. Suppose better late than never.
I’m concerned about the compromise option 3 – “allow students not in SRI to do meaningful activity”.
This is not a solution to the problem, as students will still be segregated from their peers because of their parents beliefs.
I’m supportive of making the program opt in and outside of school hours, but really, THAT should be seen as the compromise. The program should be scrapped entirely OR replaced with holistic comparative religious education taught by TEACHERS and not some volunteer with a missionary zeal.
